# Skiff: Send to TV > Skiff is a free, open-source Android app that sends what you find on your phone to your Android TV or Google TV. > Share a link to Skiff and it opens on the TV, in the TV app that plays it. It is also a full TV remote with > typing from the phone. No developer options needed: pair once with the code the TV shows, like the Google TV app. Skiff runs on Android phones (Android 8.0 and later) and works with TVs running Android TV or Google TV: Sony Bravia, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Xiaomi Mi TV, Chromecast with Google TV, Google TV Streamer, NVIDIA Shield and others. The phone and the TV must be on the same Wi-Fi. It is not affiliated with Google or any streaming service. ## What it does - Open a shared link on the TV: YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, Airtel Xstream, Stremio and any other link a TV app opens. Share it from Chrome or the app, or paste it. - Open a movie or series by name or from an IMDb page in Nuvio or Stremio on the TV, straight to the streams (for a series, pick the season and episode). - A full remote: D-pad, back, home, play/pause, volume (the phone's volume buttons work too), a Quick Settings tile. - Type into the TV's search box from the phone's keyboard; the text stays in sync both ways. - History of what you sent, to send it again in one tap. - Finds TVs on the Wi-Fi by itself; remembers pairings even when the TV's address changes. ## How it connects - Pairing (default): the Android TV Remote protocol v2, the one the Google TV app uses. Pair once with a 6-character code shown on the TV. - USB debugging (optional): with network debugging on, you also pick which TV app opens a link, and Skiff can run ADB commands and install APKs on the TV. ## Common questions it answers - How do I send a YouTube or Netflix link from my Android phone to my Google TV?
